A special meeting of the Great Meadows Regional Board of Education was held on Monday, July 2, 2007, at Great Meadows Middle School, Independence Township. The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by Julie Mumaw, Board Secretary. A statement was read that adequate notice of the meeting had been given in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act.

ROLL CALL:

Present: Richard Alexander, Jennifer Cassini (arrived 7:25 PM), Maryann Citro, Matthew Mowatt, Bernie O’Hara, and William Vonder Haar.

Absent: Peggy Faulborn, Robert Jones and Joe Mahal.

There were two members of the public in attendance.

Upon recommendation of the Superintendent, motion by Maryann Citro, seconded by Richard Alexander, to approve Danielle Hamblin as Central School Principal effective August 29, 2007 through June 30, 2008 at an annual salary of $88,000.00 pro-rated to $74,433.31 unless released from present position at an earlier date.

Motion carried in a unanimous roll call vote.

Upon recommendation of the Superintendent, motion by William Vonder Haar, seconded by Matthew Mowatt, to approve the attached Level of Savings Table for bond refunding to be presented to the local Finance Board on July 18, 2007.

Motion carried in a unanimous roll call vote.

Upon recommendation of the Superintendent, motion by Jennifer Cassini, seconded by Maryann Citro, to approve Kelly Barrington as 4^th grade teacher at Central School effective September 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 at Step 1 BS at an annual salary of $43,130.00 pending receipt of Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing.

Motion carried in a roll call vote with Mowatt abstaining.

Motion by Jennifer Cassini, seconded by Richard Alexander, to adjourn at 7:30 PM.

Motion carried in a unanimous voice vote.
