The workshop meeting of the Great Meadows Regional Board of Education was held on Monday, November 14, 2005, at Great Meadows Middle School, Independence Township. The meeting was called to order at 7:35 PM by Amy Dieteman, Vice-President. A statement was read that adequate notice of the meeting had been given in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act.

ROLL CALL:

Present: Helene Armstrong, Susan Cullen, Amy Dieteman, Peggy Faulborn, Robert Jones, Joe Mahal, Cynthia Russo, Thomas Webster, and Glenn Williams (arrived at 7:45 PM).

Absent: None.

There was 1 member of the public in attendance.

A moment of silence was held for Mary Ann Arch, former Business Administrator of Great Meadows Regional School District.

Committee Reports were discussed.

5.1 Upon recommendation of the Superintendent, motion by Peggy Faulborn, seconded by Amy Dieteman, to approve the following Policy action items 5.1.1 and 5.1.2

Motion carried in a unanimous voice vote.

5.1.1 Approve the 1^st reading for the following policies:

Policy #3440 – Job Expenses

Policy #4440 – Job Expenses

5.1.2 Approve the 1^st reading for the following By-Laws:

By-Law #1047 = Board Member Compensation & Expenses

A discussion was held regarding Board Goals for the 2005-2006 school year.

Motion by Peggy Faulborn, seconded by Amy Dieteman, to approve the Board Goals for the 2005-2006 school year as attached.

Motion carried in a unanimous voice vote.

Motion by Joe Mahal, seconded by Bob Jones, to adjourn at 10:05 PM.
