GMRSD Teacher of the Year

 

Purpose

To honor and demonstrate appreciation to a district teacher for excellence in education.

Eligibility

Nominees must be teachers in the Great Meadows District. Nominees must plan to continue in an active teaching status the following year.

Nominations

Anyone stakeholder can nominate a teacher for the award.…a student, a parent, and/or a community member.

Criteria for selecting the Teacher of the Year

A panel of judges will review the nominations and select an award recipient from each school in the district. Nominees must be teachers who:

Demonstrated participation and leadership in professional development

 

Awards and Recognition

The Teacher of the Year will receive an extra $50.00 added to their district supply order to be used for educational purposes. A GMRSD Teacher of the Year parking space, and recognition at the May Board of Education meeting.
