Central School History as Interpreted by 4th. Grade Students
I  chose the 1918 building  because to me that was the most interesting addition .  I could also picture it in my mind.

Central  School  1918

This school picture is Central School in 1918.  Central School still has the sign in the front.  Central School doesn’t have the green ivy now, but in 1918 they did have vines with snakes in it, but they chopped it down

Central School 1936

In  1936  the  teacher  would  sit  in  the  front of  the  chalkboard  and  the  desks  were  in  rows.

Central School classroom 1918

This is a picture of a classroom in 1918. Today it would be the music room. One classroom would have many different grades. This classroom is one out of four main  classrooms.
When you walk into the music room, the chalkboard is on the left and the windows are on the right. The chalkboard and the windows are in the same place as they were in 1918 when the school was built.

My picture is what Central School looked like in 1918. With the grades kindergarten-eighth they managed to fit everyone in the four classrooms. At that time there was no indoor plumbing in the school, so they had outhouses. They only had two outhouses, one for the girls and one for the boys.  Through the years Central School has changed. Let's see what the future brings for Central School.

I  drew this picture of Central School because it is my school and I am proud of my school.

The Year of 1918

In the year 1918, Central School was opened.  That year was a wonderful and inspiring year for the new students and their principal. The halls were brand-spanking new.  Back then, there were thick green vines running along the brick walls. The principal's office was a small room upstairs.  I chose to draw the building in1918 because it was so ancient.
