HUNT FOR COUNTRY CAPITALS

The 6th graders took part this year in the Entry Level of this fun and educational internet project.

What We Did:

We first chose a country capital from anywhere in the world and developed 9 clues about that capital. ALL the clues AND the capital chosen were then sent to the organizer of the game. Each Monday for 3 weeks during the game, we received one set of 3 clues from each participating site. We used these clues to help us decide on the capital each school chose. We were allowed during each week to ask ONE yes/no question of each site playing the game. Direct guesses were not permitted until the third week.  After the 3 weeks of clues, we had one week to try and guess the country capital each site had chosen.

The week after the guesses were sent in, a tally was posted of all participating sites and a winner declared.  The winner was determined by the location that had the highest number of guesses correct. A team's own site was not included in the scoring.
