The Young Man and the Sea

The Young Man and the Sea is an awesome story about Skip Beamen, who triumphs through trying times. Skip is a young boy with a mission to survive daily life. He faces many obstacles: a father who has been overcome with grief, a family fishing boat that sinks and a rich kid who likes to annoy him.

Skip Beamen sails through all of these situations steadfastly. He also manages to catch the biggest fish in the sea, although it almost killed him. Don’t let this book get away! It definitely will have you hooked once you begin reading it.
