A Bear Named Trouble
Marion Dane Bauer
Ten-year-old Jonathan is living with his dad in
Alaska where his dad is a zookeeper.
His mother and sister, Rhonda, will arrive later on. While they wait, Jonathan visits the zoo
every day and falls in love with “Mama” Goose whom he describes to his sister
on the phone. However, a wild bear enters the picture when he is forced to be
on his own. This poor bear finds refuge at the zoo where he visits another
bear. Sadly, he causes plenty of
“trouble”, hence the nickname and is about to be killed because of his
misdeeds. Jonathan comes to the rescue
and Trouble is given to another zoo. This is a based on a real bear and is a
very cute story. A snap to get through!
