4. Correspondence
Thank you cards received from Kristie Whittle for the gift certificate, Mrs. Lund and Mrs. Horsey for the refrigerator, Mrs. Exley for organizing the GEPA breakfast. Also a note to say the 8th grade will be using $400.00 toward the Romeo and Juliet trip.
5. Old Business
Still looking to hold a student/parent baseball game to promote school spirit. A flyer will be sent out to see about interest in it.
Mark Francis ran the drug awareness talk. Around 30 people attended.
Internet awareness presentation to take place April 8.
6. Committees
T shirts-still have some for sale. It was suggested to hang some in the display case to generate interest.
Assemblies-7th grade had in the revolutionary war speaker. Dare to Dream assembly and game were held, it seems as if interest has fallen off-and we are looking for something new next year. Mr. Ippolito suggested the Harlem Wizards who are similar to the Harlem Globetrotters, they put on a show with some audience interaction at half time. A student teacher game would be held prior to the show as the students love playing the teachers.
Dances-6th grade hosting the 5th grade May 13
Market Day-pick up Monday March 31.
School Store-looking for chair next year. Need to find someone now to take over for the summer work.
Box Tops-big drive and contest wrapping up.
Hospitality and Directory-nothing to report.
Advisory Committee-Patrick McNelius is looking to generate interest and would like to hold PATHS and advisory meetings on the same night. Our April 14 meeting will start at 6:30 to accommodate both groups.
Teacher Appreciation-to be held the week of May 1-7. Eileen Seiler and Diane Francis are looking for help during the day setting up food and cleaning up.
7. New Business
Jamie Long is running an elementary band fund raiser and would like to use our gambling license. Need to look into the legalities of this.
