1.  Minutes from 1/24/07 meeting not submitted.

 

2.  Discussed teachers nominated for the Governor’s Award

  • Question around nomination process
  • Congratulations to 2 district nominees

 

3.  Computer Carts

  • Questions
    • Who is responsible for assigning computer time and monitoring location of cart?
    • Discussion that some students are not aware computers are available
  • Issue – units will continue to require new batteries until they all have been replaced; refurbished computers were ordered with refurbished batteries; in the future, new batteries will be ordered.

 

4.  Treasurer’s Report – presented and accepted

 

Beginning Balance         $5707.12

Deposits                       $5478.61  (includes HOOPS registrations, yearbook, and interest)

(Less Expenses)                        (3719.17)  (includes assembly, honor roll breakfast, and yearbook)

Ending Balance             $7466.56

 

5.  Committees - Need to get all activities on the district calendar for next year

  • Teacher Appreciation
    • Kim/Sandy to coordinate activities for 1st week in May
    • Invitations to teachers
    • Rhonda Donovan volunteered to help
  • Custodian Appreciation
    • Year-end
  • Student Get-Togethers
    • Limited parent volunteers, no one returning calls
    • Participation and interest declining
    • Suggestion to rotate activities next year (DJ, game night, etc.)
    • 4/20 likely to be last one for this year; 5/18 DJ not available; possibly 6/8 pending school calendar and DJ availability; Nancy to confirm
  • School Store
    • Publicize t-shirts available for purchase
    • Contest/ideas for new t-shirts
  • School Directory/Yearbook
    • Work with Warren County Vo-Tech for next year

 

6.  Old Business

  • PATHS Gambling License Application in process

 

7.  New Business

  • Letters to parents for new officers for next year
  • Scholarships/Essay Contest to be distributed
  • 7th Grade Parent Meeting to be scheduled 5/9 or 5/17 to discuss fundraising and 8th Grade Trip (Class ’08)
  • Suggestion to add new committee for next year – Snacks during Testing
    • Should be responsibility of Class Parents
    • PATHS to list expectations for next year’s class parent volunteers to provide guideline and mutual understanding
