APRIL 26, 2006
1. Welcome
Meeting started at 6:33 PM.
2. Treasurer Report
Money came in from dance, interest, LTRC donation for AED, Market Day, school store and year book. Expenses for assembly, book fair, scholarships, project graduation, teacher appreciation and year book. There is still more money to be paid for the year book.

4. Correspondence
A letter was received from Mr. Bing asking all 3 PTO’s to contribute toward the purchase of a Dell computer to be used by the senior citizens of Liberty and Independence. Our students would help teach the seniors how to use it for the purpose of bringing them into the loop of the school system. It was decided to first look into used computers before a decision is made.
5. Old Business
AED supplies have not been purchased yet. $390.00 is available from LTRC donation of $200.00 and profits of last dance. Supplies will be purchased along with an alarmed case to store it in.
Grants- Mrs. Lund not present.
Scholarships-Letters were sent out to 7 area high schools. Class of 2006 graduates who came through the middle school are asked to write an essay on “What my experience at GMMS has meant to me as I continue my education.” Applications are due back by May 8. Teachers will read and vote on two students to each receive a $250.00 American Express gift check.
School sign- First Hope Bank is still pursuing, surveyors were checking out the site.
6. Committees
Assembly Country Gate Players from Belvidere performed about significant events in NJ history.
Box Tops We are still requesting to send them in.
Honor Roll breakfast will be held Friday, April 28, this is the last one this school year.
Hospitality will be called on for 5th grade orientation to be held May 23.
Market Day- next pick up May 22 from 5-6 PM. The pick up in June is scheduled after school is out and one will be held in July.
School store-Michelle is looking to hold one more before the end of the year.
School directory nothing to report.
Dance was well attended even though held the same night as St Peter & Paul day of recollection for the 8th grade making their confirmation. $190.00 profit will go toward supplies for the AED.
Teacher appreciaion will spend entire budget, to be held week of May 8-12.
Tee shirts nothing to report.
7. New Business
8th grade orientation. Hackettstown High School will be hosting 8th grade students from GMMS, Allamuchy and St Mary’s on May 24 rain date of May 25. In the past each school was done separately but they are combining as one big group and asking PTO’s to donate for the cost of tee shirts to read HHS class of 2010. We have 106 students attending. Voted down but suggested to ask parents to pay for their child’s shirt.
Summer basketball camp-Mr. Bechtel asked PATHS to sponsor again this year. Yes.
Nominations & elections- four volunteers were voted unanimously. Michelle, Kim, Sandy and Stephanie will decide which position each will fill by the May meeting.
Meeting ended 7:24. Next meeting scheduled May 24 at 6:30 PM new officials will take over.
