Meeting started at 6:40 PM.

5.   Correspondence

Summer letter from Mr. Bing requesting $3,000.00 from each parent organization for the purchase of a Poster Maker for the GMMS.  It was decided that we will not entertain this purchase at this time.

 

  1. Old Business

 

First Hope Bank has approved a scrolling sign with GMMS at the top; bank will be paying for the signage with PATHS contributing $1,000.00 towards the final cost. 


The company who is installing the bank sign has agreed to replace the missing “A” in the GMMS “GYMNASIUM” sign outside the school at no cost.  Annie will check if additional letters are available on the school grounds that could be used to replaced missing letter.

 

Mrs. Lund has agreed to research a possible Eagle Scout project to have a directional sign for the Middle School and Elementary School in the middle of the traffic circle (similar to that of Liberty School).

  1. New Business

 

1.                  8th Grade Tricky Tray – Mrs. Lund will check into date and chairperson.

2.                  Discussed possibility of changing Washington trip and costs associated with same without fund raising.

3.                  Jaguar to be official mascot for all schools – Great Meadows Regional School District.  Discuss ordering t-shirts and sweatshirts with Jaguar logo.

4.                  Ann Young discussed foundation goal to fund mobile computer cart and costs which ranged from $15,000 - $20,000.   Price has decreased since original mention which was $30,000.00 at one time.   Goal is to have PATHS partner with the foundation to fund a cart for GMMS.  Suggestions that Mr. Bing and Mr. Hann attend next meeting to offer clarification.

5.                  Hospitality Committee to host an evening in October for Custodian appreciation.

6.                  PATHS to continue with funding Knight for the 6th Graders.

-Unanimous vote to budget up to $400.00.
