Dear Parents/Guardians:

Today your child(ren) was sent home with an informational packet about the administration of the New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge (NJ ASK). This packet contains information about the NJ ASK which assesses students’ proficiency in language arts literacy, mathematics and science (science in grades 4 and 8 only). The packet gives a description of the NJ ASK, explains who will be tested, types of questions your child(ren) can expect to see on the test, how to prepare for the test, duration of the test and other important information about the exam. There are also a few practice questions provided in the packet.

Since the beginning of the year, we have been working hard to prepare students for this exam.

We ask that you review this packet with your child and assist us in helping your child prepare. If you have any questions about the packet or the NJ ASK, please contact me or your child’s subject area teacher at your convenience.
