Mrs. Danielle Hamblin

        Principal, Central School

It is my pleasure to be a part of the learning community of Central School in Great Meadows School District. Our school-wide theme of “balance” is shared with students and staff members through our TV Studio announcements and classroom lessons.  We are recognizing the importance of balancing many things.  As busy as our lives may become, we need to model for children the importance of finding time for fun and for responsibilities.  Homework, hobbies and chores are a perfect way to practice our school wide theme at home!

The culmination to our school-wide read titled Rabbit Hill will take place on May 2nd.  Students are gathering pledges for walking laps, and will then be collecting canned foods for a local food pantry.  This correlates with the book’s theme of “balance” between nature and humans.

The next “Tea and Treats” with the principal has been scheduled for May 13th between 2:30-3 p.m. in the library and again at 7:00 p.m. during the PTO meeting.  This will be the culminating ‘Tea and Treats” for this school year, and will be solely dedicated to honoring our school volunteers!  Please r.s.v.p if you plan to attend!  Any adult, who has volunteered this school year in some capacity, is encouraged to attend.

There is a PTO sponsored assembly on May 20th for all of our students, titled Dugan’s Hooligan Celtic Eclectic Ensemble. There are two show times of 10:15 and 1:30.  The assemblies are open to parents, but it is encouraged that children who are not of school age, do not attend.

As the Principal of Central School I am enjoying supporting not only instruction that educates children’s minds, but also lessons that educate their hearts.  Together, the academic and social emotional growth of our children will result in acquired life skills that will ensure their success.  If you have any questions regarding your child(ren)’s education, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone (908) 637-4351 or via email at dhamblin@gmrsd.com.   Please check out the district’s website and our “paperless” communications under the Public Notices link.  Please check this link weekly to stay on top of any communications from our school.
