Thank You, Miss New Jersey!

On Wednesday, November 10th, Liberty School was happy to welcome Janaye Ingram, Miss New Jersey 2004!  Ms. Ingram visited each classroom and read books to our students.  The students were very excited about the visit, and some even wore their own crowns!  We thank Ms. Ingram for sharing her love of reading with our students!

Art News

Congratulations to Ryan R. (3B), Brooke C. (4NC), Gina T. (4NC), Veronica P. (4NC), John G. (5D), Adrienne N. (5S), Stephanie S. (5S), Brianne L. (5S), Megan L. (5S) and Erin L. (5S) for solving the Mystery Artist Contest.  Paul Gauguin, the famous French painter, was October’s artist.

Here are the clues for the November/December contest:

  • This month’s artist in an architect, a person who designs buildings.
  • He was born on June 8, 1867, in Wisconsin.
  • He is famous for many new and different ideas, especially his “prairie houses.”
  • His initials are F.L.W.
  • His last name sounds like the opposite of wrong.
  • He died in 1959.
  • Many consider him the father of American architecture.

Good luck, and please turn all guesses in to the art room by December 3.

Special Thank You!

Thank you to Donaldson’s Farms for their very generous donation of pumpkins!  Each student in our school was presented a pumpkin to decorate during art class!  Also, thank you to Mrs. Salter for picking up and delivering all those pumpkins!

Thank You, PTO!

We thank the PTO for the fabulous assembly by Kate Campbell-Stevenson, entitled “Women Back To The Future.”  It was great for our students to see what it was like for courageous women in the past!
