Liberty Township has designated Monday, October 31st from

4:30PM – 7:30PM for Trick-or-Treating.

Creative Pumpkins!

A big thank you to Brownie Troop 516 for decorating the school office with many beautiful, creative pumpkins!  We have received many compliments from our visitors!

Special Thank You!

A very special thank you to Fire Chief Ken Lunden, Ex-Chief Ed Gallagher and firefighters Joe Thomas and Gary Wolfgang from the Mountain Lake Fire Company, for taking time out of their day to speak with the students about fire safety on Thursday, October 13th.  The fire fighters demonstrated the new Fire Safety Trailer to our students.  The trailer is used to teach fire safety in the home, along with escape techniques that can be used in the event of a fire.

All of the students learned important information about fire safety and were instructed about what to do in the case of a fire emergency.  The Liberty School students and staff also wish to thank the entire Mountain Lake Fire Company for all the fire prevention “goodies.”

Basket Donations Wanted!!!
Our goal for this year's Tricky Tray is to exceed our profit from last year! To do this we are counting on support from the families in our community. Our hope is that we receive many more basket / tray donations from families and friends in town. The minimum retail value of our baskets is $35.00. 7:00 - 8:30 PM

Middle School Cafeteria

Recent changes will be discussed.

General questions will be addressed.

TAB CHALLENGE!

We now have over 2,400,000 tabs counted, but our goal is to get to over 3 million by the end of this school year. Seventh grade students at the middle school are asking for your help in collecting tabs.  The students have made a challenge to the principal, Mr. Ippolito.  If a garbage container in the school lobby can be filled with tabs by May, Mr. Ippolito will then have to dress up like a female, with the outfit being selected by Mrs. Kumma!  So, won't you please help us by collecting tabs and sending them into school? Let's win this challenge!

GET IN SHAPE!

The West Morris Area YMCA in the Vienna Community Center is now offering fitness classes for adults. The courses offered are: Body Sculpting and Pilates. Please look for the mail-in registration form in your school main offices. So grab a friend and start exercising! (Contact Kathy 973-366-1120 x43 for more info.)

Halloween Parade

Our annual Halloween Parade will be on Friday, October 28th at 2:00PM.  Classroom assistants will be available to help the students.  Students may do their hair at home, as we cannot allow aerosol cans to be sprayed in school.  Please keep safety in mind when deciding upon costumes.  Costumes should be an appropriate length to prevent tripping, and masks and weapons are not allowed in the school parade for safety reasons.  If masks or weapons are brought in, they will be held in the office for parental pickup.  After the parade, the students will return to their classrooms for the Halloween parties.
