PTO NEWS

Due to the Board of Ed. Election Night being scheduled on April 18th, our next PTO meeting has been changed to THURSDAY, April 20th, from 7:00-8:30 pm with free babysitting.  We hope to see you there!

Market Day orders are due by March 14th, and pickup is March 20th from 5-6 pm at the Middle School.  Volunteers are desperately needed to help at the Middle School during pick-ups.  If you are interested, please contact Chair Kate Mugno Tibak at 637-6273 or at kate1208@comcast.net.

A Co-President opening will need to be filled for the 2006/2007 school year, as this will be Connie Collier’s last year as an officer (two consecutive one-year terms will have been completed at this time).  Full training will be provided.  As in the past, all officer positions open annually.  Nominations for any of the positions will be accepted until April 4, 2005, and elections will be held at the April 18th PTO meeting.  If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Colleen Makarevich, who is the Nominating Committee chairperson, at her e-mail address colleenmak@comcast.net (preferred) or call her at 637-6995.

For additional info, check out the PTO portion of the school website at http://www.gmrsd.com/liberty.htm.  Our website coordinator is Kim Burke who can be reached at 637-8295 if you have any questions.

Have Old Shoes?  New Ones?

Warren County REBEL and REBEL2 are collecting good used pairs of shoes (or new ones) to be used in a campaign against the big tobacco companies.  Please donate any pair of children’s or adult’s shoes by bringing them in and placing them in the box in the lobby at Great Meadows Middle School.  Did you know that over 1200 people in the US die daily from tobacco-related diseases?  So, won’t you help us stomp out tobacco?

3rd Annual “Home Raising” Dinner, Live and Silent Auction Fund

will be held on

Saturday, April 22nd

at the Inn at Panther Valley in Allamuchy, NJ at 6:00pm.

Warren County Habitat for Humanity builds simple and affordable homes for and with area families.  Each home costs about $55,000 to build and we depend on donations to raise every dollar.  Warren County Habitat for Humanity is 100% volunteer run and donor supported.  We recently completed homes in Washington and Phillipsburg and are working on another home in Phillipsburg.

Tickets for our Third Annual House Raising are $35 a person in advance or $325 for a table of ten.  Dinner and dessert will be served at the "House Raising" and our live and silent auction will include items from professional sports teams, events and destination packages, beauty and salon treatments and many more donations from local businesses and citizens.

For information or to purchase tickets or make a contribution, contact Erikka Sherman at 862-684-1413 or at habitat@goes.com.

This is your chance to help build a home without having to ever lift a hammer!!
