Birds are warm-blooded vertebrate animals that have wings, a beak, no teeth, strong, hollow bones, and feathers. Bird watching is a popular hobby. You can do Backyard birding and attract birds to your yard by providing appropriate food, water, and habitats for wild birds, and limiting use of pesticides.

Belted Kingfisher - This pigeon sized bird is blue-grey above and white below with a bushy crest and dagger-like bill.

Bird Monitoring in North America - "The monitoring programs highlighted on these pages can be used to track changes in North American bird populations.
