     You and your group will use research materials to answer the following question: Why would one of the world's first nations emerge in the Nile River Valley? The answer to this question will be in the form of a poster report. Each group member will be responsible for researching and answering on focus question. The group will be responsible for composing an introductory paragraph stating the main idea of your report and a concluding paragraph reminding your audience what you stated as your main idea, and for combining each individual's research findings into a well-organized poster report.

Each student will have individual as well as group responsibilities.

Individual responsibilities include: 

• Research your question and record findings on your record sheet.
• Indicate which source you used for your facts.
• Draw a map showing research findings which is colorful and has a map key.
• Attach your record sheet to the back of the poster report.
• Write a summary paragraph of your research findings to be added to the poster report.
• Draw and color a picture illustrating your research findings.

• Combine all individual paragraphs, pictures, and maps in an interesting and creative way on  your poster report.
• Compose an introductory paragraph stating the main idea of the report. (This should be the answer to the title question.)
• Compose a concluding paragraph restating the main idea.
