• This is a message from Superintendent Michael Mai. On behalf of the Board of Education, my office is pleased to announce that Great Meadows Regional School District has partnered with Med Labs Diagnostics to ensure a healthy and safe school environment. Testing will be held on Wednesdays until further notice, Med Labs Diagnostics will be providing free of charge Covid-19 testing for any student, parent, or staff member of our school district who would like to receive one. Testing will take place in the Great Meadows Middle School cafeteria between the hours of 4 and 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Those students, parents, or staff members who would like to participate will have to complete the registration form for submission the day of testing and bring a photo identification and/or insurance card. The form is available at www.gmrsd.com.

Due to this testing opportunity, a change of our current protocol will occur. In the past, the district requested any student or staff member to remain home while waiting for test results, regardless of symptoms. Now, with this program in place, the district will change that protocol to be unless someone takes a test AND has symptoms of Covid-19.

My office respectfully asks that all school community stakeholders partner with us and, if you have any symptoms related to Covid-19, remain home pending final test results. Having this weekly, on-site resource is a tremendous opportunity for our school community to maintain in-person instruction and sustainability while keeping a positive frame of mind. Please know all testing information is confidential except in the case of a positive result that must be reported to the Warren County Health Office.

I thank all of you for your continued support of our school community.
